Project Preserve

A man wearing glasses, a gray shirt, and a denim jacket stands in a warehouse filled with boxes of produce and tall shelves stacked with goods. The space is industrial with high ceilings and forklifts in the background.

High Quality Food for the Lowest Cost

Project Preserve is the social enterprise of Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. We provide low cost quality food items for other nonprofits fighting food insecurity, including Feeding America food banks and Second Harvest’s Partners. Our products include:
  • Disaster boxes
  • Holiday boxes
  • Health needs specific  boxes
  • Backpacks
  • Staple Pantry items (available in mixed or full truckload)
  • Direct from Manufacturer orders
  • Customizable orders (available in mixed or full truckload)

How We Work

To provide quality goods at a low price, we purchase food directly from manufacturers.  We pride ourselves on our innovative sourcing, streamlined processes, and excellent customer service. Orders are placed via a state-of-the-art purchasing portal. Custom orders, like diabetic boxes, can be placed by working with our National Account Managers.

Orders are then shipped to Second Harvest’s partners across Middle and West Tennessee, as well as Feeding America food banks across the country, so people in need can receive healthy food.

Boxes filled with assorted canned goods, including vegetables, soups, and beans, organized together, likely for donation or distribution. Some cans are wrapped in plastic, and labels are visible on many of the items.
Shelves stocked with neatly arranged canned food, including vegetables, beans, soup, and tuna, in various colorful labels and sizes, organized by type and stacked in rows at a grocery store.
