Project Grow

More Than A Farm

Project Grow is a pioneering multi-year agricultural initiative by Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. It’s more than just a farm, it’s a community-centric program with several goals: engaging the agricultural community, increasing volunteer participation, providing educational opportunities, and producing high-quality, nutritious food for our neighbors facing hunger.

Located at our Camden location, Project Grow covers 19 acres, consisting of 12-row crop acres of corn and various garden plots of seasonal items such as tomatoes, potatoes, green beans, okra, herbs, and more!

Nutrition Education Classes

Our Community Nutrition Team works diligently to ensure our neighbors receive the resources they need to thrive every day. Second Harvest offers free classes on subjects that are specifically requested by our neighbors facing hunger such as gardening, cooking, and preserving.

We believe in a holistic approach to food security, and we’re proud to offer these incredible education opportunities that empower people so they can thrive. Contact us to learn more about our community education classes!
