Fight Hunger Like a Local: Holiday Round Up

We’ve made giving back easy and put all of our local holiday partnerships all in one place.

The season of giving is here, and there are so, so many ways you can contribute to the fight against hunger this holiday season. From grocery shopping to eating out, you can give back by shopping or visiting your favorite local spots.

Frist Frist Free Admission Mondays 
Mondays in November and December
Bring non-perishable food donations to the Frist on Monday this holiday season to receive free admission.

Wells Fargo Holiday Food Bank Program
November 26 – December 31
Bring non-perishable food donations to any Wells Fargo branch in our service area.

Food Lion Feeds Holidays without Hunger
November 14 – December 18
When you purchase a Holidays Without Hunger food box at Food Lion, it will be donated to your local Feeding America food bank (that’s us!). Donations at the register will also be accepted.

Ms. Cheap Penny Drive
November 1 – January 31
Collect pennies, change, and dollars for Ms. Cheap’s 10th annual Penny Drive.

Sprouts Grab and Give
November 1 – December 31
Choose a bag of nutritious food at the register and it will be donated to the food bank.

Bank of America Give a Meal
October 15 – December 31
For every $1 a person donates through this link, Bank of America Charitable Foundation will make a $2 match to the Feeding America network of food banks. Send your donation directly to Second Harvest by providing your zip code when making your gift.

Save a Lot Bags for a Brighter Holiday
November 19 – December 31
Purchase a pre-made bag filled with holiday meal essentials to be donated to Second Harvest. Donation bins can be found at our participating stores.

Loveless Cafe
December 1 – December 25
When you visit this Nashville landmark, drop non-perishable food donations into the giant gift box located outside of Loveless Cafe.

Frye Hope Crossbody BagFrye Hope Cross Body Bag
While supplies last
When you purchase a Frye Hope Cross Body Bag from their Gulch location, Frye will donate $100 to our feeding programs.

City Winery
December 2018 – December 2019
For every bottle of Second Harvest wine purchased, City Winery Nashville will donate $7.

Blackbox Wine
November 1 – December 31
Constellation Brands will donate a portion of sales from all Blackbox Wine purchased at Kroger to fight hunger.

After you’re done shopping for Thanksgiving, make a donation at the register to ensure families in need can fill their holiday tables.
