Today, our warehouse was busy and food bank employees worked hard to empty 3 tractor-trailer loads of food that Kroger donated to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee!
The food donation came from a fundraising campaign that took place during the holiday season. Kroger invited customers and associates to make a donation to the food bank during checkout. Kroger customers donated nearly $76,000 which was then turned in to some of our most-needed food items like peanut butter, canned tuna, canned fruits and pasta.
Additionally, Kroger presented a check today for $67,500 as part of their annual commitment to help end hunger.
