Friends of the Food Bank was created in April 2014 to strengthen Second Harvest Food Bank’s connection with young professionals in Middle Tennessee. We are young professionals from a variety of industries who actively support Second Harvest’s mission to feed hungry people and work to solve hunger issues in our community.
Friends of the Food Bank supports the fight against hunger through various events and activities for young professionals with a common goal of becoming long-term advocates, donors and volunteers.
Since inception, our young professional members have supported Second Harvest by fighting hunger through friends, funds and food – donating a total of 1,574 volunteer hours, 817 pounds of food and $62,804 (as of June 30, 2017).
