Ms. Cheap’s Penny Drive Raises over $100,000!

After counting every penny, dime, and dollar, we are excited to announce that Ms. Cheap’s Penny Drive raised $102,741.36, which will provide almost 411,000 meals for our neighbors facing hunger!

Yes, we’re reporting down to the cent, because after 10 years of Ms. Cheap’s Penny Drive, we know the power of the penny!

This year’s total surpassed last year’s record by more than $15,000 and brought the Penny Drive’s grand total over the last decade to $580,128.14.

That equates to over 2.3 million meals!

OUR COMMUNITY CARES

This record-breaking year and the many successful years before it wouldn’t be possible without the support of you, our Nashville neighbors.

As in past years, our Penny Drive participants came up with creative ways to fill their cans.

Students held bake sales and even sold dog treats in exchange for donations. One local business started a competition within their staff to see who could raise the most for Middle Tennesseans facing hunger.

Wilson Bank & Trust

THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS

We would not have had a record-breaking year without the support of our sponsors: Wilson Bank & Trust, Pinnacle Financial Partners, and Kroger.

Both banks distributed Penny Drive cans, helped with collection, and encouraged their employees, clients, and customers to participate. Kroger had donation boxes at their store checkouts throughout the drive.

All together they raised over $48,000!
